Just when I'm sure that my life has become the bird shit on the windshield of life, something comes along to throw me for a loop.

I got to see my friend today for my hair cut. I was even her first client of the day. And then I didn't even get charged for the cut on orders from her boss. Her boss who might soon become my boss. I'm probably jinxing myself here, but I might start working there part time during the days. She asked for my information and what hours I could work-- she didn't mind that I needed a very flexible schedule because of the kids-- and told me she'd be calling me soon. I've got my fingers crossed.

Since I didn't have to pay for a cut, I decided to stop by the shoe store. Most of my shoes have had it and I'd been looking for a cute pair of wedges and low boots for winter. Every time I've gone in the past, I've come out empty handed. It didn't matter which shoe store I'd gone to. No luck. Except for today. I got a cute pair of shoes on sale. And they're comfortable!

I didn't have traffic problems or parking problems or anything. I hope this luck extends into work tonight. Knock on wood.
